I was suppose to leave yesterday morning but now ended up staying till tomorrow morning...kitesurfing can get really addictive...but finally yesterday after I believe some 14 hr of classes I got up in the water and went like 10m...it was so so cool the feeling that I can actually do it and control ir and it works...the wind was really poor so it was rather impossible to do anything...but...I stayed one more day today is super god wind and I think I will get somewhere from this point onwards.
We did camp on the beach last night, people from the Spanish school, swedish girl Lise and american Carrie and british Katy and Mark from US and Rein (instructor) and Robert school owner...it was so cool, I never actually have been camping on the beach before...and it was great we had huge bonfire at night, and than around midnight went to see plancton....there is so much of it in the water.....awesome...had our tents and hammocks ...super fun. Its really great that the guys from the kitesurfing school here (ecuadorkitesurf.com) do so much with the students from the school, it would be probably bit more boring if not for them.
My camera broke yesterday, I think something just has happened to the battery and it is impossible to turn it on ....and of course in this corner of the world there is no way to buy a batery for Canon G9....which kind of sucks now just have to rely on other people and hope that someone else will take some pictures....I am here only 5 days more, but still...
Tomorrow finally heading towards Montanita, will take some more Spanish classes there for another 4 days before heading back to Quito and than home...really sad, but good thing is that Kate is coming down also so will have some fun there for last days in Ecuador....I almost wish I had more time in Manta just to get really good at kitesurf and complete IKO2...pero...next time, it still has taken me much longer than for other people to get where I am..but I think because I tok the extra time to learn to navigate the kite really well I am having much easier time once in the water and I been through almost everything that could go wrong so its great, much safer when things go wrong when in class than on my own.
Had to leave my host family yesterday because I had everything booked for Montanita...but...moved into Roberts house until tomorrow, he runs sort of hostal there for ktesurfers and friends and whomever and its quite convenient can get an ride in his car to the beach and everyone is hanging out there anyway....
Great time in Manta...funny because I was prepared that it would be a bit boring but now it turned out to be so great...always great to have surprises like these!!!!
