We traveled pretty fare today 423 miles in the motor home across Indiana and into Illinois. Gained an hour of time while heading west, you got to love that.  I drove for like 5 hours; it was tough going because I was the one driving around Chicago on a six lane highway heading west.  Stopped for some Starbucks and I was good to good for a million more miles.  So after the Starbucks, I was still driving and really had to use the restroom.  We were at a toll plaza waiting in line to pay, because Sarge forgot the ezpass, I jumped out of the driver's seat and told Ally I will be right back.  So I went to the back of the RV to use the restroom.  Ally and Barb were mortified, but no worries I was back and in the driver’s seat before the toll line moved an inch.  The hold up was a mini van trying to figure out how to pay.  I wish people would just read directions and buy maps.

We stopped around 5pm at the Hickory Hollow Campground in Utica, Illinois.  It was kind of weird all the town names we saw were the same names as in New York, even an Oswego Illinois.

After getting to the camp ground Rory and I went swimming in a heated pool and of course went to the playground before dinner.  She is having so much fun.  She seems to be playing all morning with her toys and after lunch knapping in the afternoons while we are on the road.  After dinner Barb, Sarge and Ally went off to WalMart.  They definitely got some necessities, like the fixings for smores and an IPod auxiliary adapter cord for the sterio.  Rory, Ally and I made some smores….Sarge tried to grill his and burnt the gram crackers and melted the chocolate all over the grill.  So if our chicken tastes like chocolate tonight we may know why.  I think Ally will try driving the family truckster  as she calls it, aka the motor home tomorrow.
