Manizales is nothing special in the town itself. It has a few pretty streets and a nice church (the 2nd highest in the world or something). But the countryside near by is stunning. I headed to Nacional Parque los Nevados, and for those who do not understand Spanish that means SNOW! Yip after 5 weeks at +30 degrees on the coast now I have also seen snow in Colombia, as it was actually snowing whilst I was there! The country side on route is really pretty, but I was a bit shocked by the altitude as we went up to 5000 meters above sea level in the volcano and this was not even the top! The landscape changed dramatically en route from green to barn and space like (suppose it is normal with a volcano!). Lovely day, with the one exception of a really sleezy man who was on the trip!!! Bla!!!!!!!
