Much better drive to Wichita than from Wichita - 2 hours start to finish. Stayed in Wichita my last night to ensure I could make my plane, since I'm not much of a morning person. Caught the flight from Wichita to Chicago...no problem. Chicago to Toronto...cancelled? Eek! No one would talk to me...the "customer service" desk kept pointing me to the bat-phones and told me reschedule my flight. Everytime I tried, a recording told me I had to talk to "customer service." It was a cyclical nightmare...they finally sent me to the customer service desk down the escalator, across the airport and up the escalator (with a whack of heavy carryon luggage) where I managed to reschedule and was promised the rest of my luggage would follow. I was silly enough to believe them. Eventually I got to Toronto, couldn't eat as I had to "wait near a post" for "someone who cared" to take me to the luggage area where I could double check to see if my luggage was around the airport, which it wasn't. Starving, I just caught the plane from Toronto to London, where I ran into one of my sister's friends and made it home on the tiniest little plane ever. One of my suitcases arrived the next day and the big heavy one was delivered four days later by an armless courier.
