MB is a family entertainment and shopping mecca. Besides the lure of the beach, MB is filled with water sports, water slide parks, swimming pools, sightseeing tours, shopping (outlet mall, beach supplies, discount stores, etc.), theaters, boardwalks, every type of restaurant you can imagine, miniature golf and regular golf. The list goes on and on.

This campground is rather like going to family camp. It is self contained with restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, water slide, kids activities every day, basketball courts, etc. They even have their own church and Mr/Mrs minister. In addition, they have a real garbage truck with daily trash pickup at the campsites. No alcohol sales, though. The campground discourages alcohol use.

South Carolina allows dogs on the beach this time of year. During the summer, dogs are allowed on beaches before 10 am and after 4 pm. No dogs on Florida beaches EVER. Walking along the beach with Willow is another benefit of being in MB.

Before April 11 (the start of the season), the beaches belonged to Willow and me. Now, with kids out of school for spring break, we have to share with hundreds of others. In the summer, that's probably thousands of others. We got spoiled having the beaches to ourselves. Check out the before and after pictures.

Most of the month of May I will be visiting family. l'll be leaving MB on Monday, April 21, to visit my sister and her family in Connellsville, PA (Pittsburgh area) for a couple weeks. If the weather report holds, I won't encounter any 32 degree nights on my way to PA.

On the weekend of May 10-11, I'll be visiting with my brother and nephew in Harrisburg, PA. Thought I'd rent a car and take a break from driving a MH.

My friensister (thanks, Hanan, for that great word) in MA, and I will meet somewhere between Harrisburg, PA and her home in S. Hadley, MA, and spend a few days together. Then back to Connellsville and get ready to head for home. My guess is I'll be back by mid July, or earlier.

Friends in Indian Creek in Fort Myers Beach: Indian Creek is still the BEST private campground at which I have stayed!!
