As suggested, we ate at a place called Fulora. Its just behind the Alibaug bus stand. One word for the food there would be SPICY !!!
Also, they have a very different concept of fish fry. Its more like nuggets, fish flesh coated in a batter and deep fried. The serving portions are enough for 2. And they have lovely Bhakris.
Food for 2: Rs. 480/-

From Alibaug, we took the bus for Murud.
