Yesterday was real fun, I did absolutely no sight seeing really me and Marie just walked around the city for a while and then migrated from sofa to sofa in the mall. I see so much all the time that it was nice just doing something normal, well if you can call couch crawling in a mall normal. Marie makes great company and I enjoyed hanging out. Then in the evening after a lovel omelette from Vincent we met up with a load of other couchsurfers and drank wine on a bench. I really liked how people in the city just hung out in all the public spaces, and drinking was allowed anywhere.

I woke up this morning to a silhouette standing over me, it was Marie! It was really hard saying goodbye, but iot was nice to say a proper farewell, if not a little sad. Hopefully we will meet again somewhere in Europe or in China!

The ride had more ups than downs today and I was pleased with how constructively I passed the time . It was herendously windy and the rain as I stepped out of the doorstep did not bode well. I only got took one wrong turn today and thankfully the wind pushed me all the way. I am also really excited about the prospect of learning Mandarin, a task which I took up today shouting it at the top of my voice as I cruised through Hungarian villages.

So, a nice short day tomorrow. I'm well fed and watered now and staying with an immensely nice family, a semi-pro triathlete and her nuclear scientist father. I wonder what tomorrow will bring, certainly not more rain I hope.

The one thing I am learning is that its not the sights which have made this trip, although they have been amazing, but all the people I have met.

Dani! I had a great day thank you. I really enjoyed staying with your family, especially our game of Uno. Thanks for helping with my bike earlier. What have you been doing today?
