Fucking clocks :). Well at least we will get an extra hour of sunlight now. But I was tired! Had a nice cat prring me to sleep at night though.
A couple of bowls of cereal later and after saying farewell to Felicity our couchsurfing host we hit the road. We managed to head in the wrong direction at first and managed to ask a Scottish guy who didn't even know the name of the next town ha ha ha. He was very nice thoough and directed us towards people who did have a clue.
So, we were back on course. The flat expansive landscape with random mounds of hills gradually morphed into a more rolling and wild appearance. There were some pretty bad arse looking houses, we kept on expecting to see footballer's wives popping out. But alas, we saw none!
We made a lot of progress and it was good as the last half hour before lunch my hunger combined with busy roads was detracting from my enjoyment! However, after stopping by Connor's house and getting a big lunch from his Mum I was once again a happy camper!
It was fortunate that we got fuelled up, as the hills didn't abate. It was frrickin beautful thoughand the Cotswoold towns perched on top of the steep hills were truly stunning and worth the obnoxious climbs that we endured.
Our misnavigation, surprise surprise shortly after Stow on the Wold wasproved to be a blessing in disguise. If we thought the climbs were steep before then we were wrong! The roads were awesome and snaked across the Gloucestershire countryside detouring through loads of random little towns.
Stonesfield, our stop for the night came into sight just in time. Randy and Tony my best friend's parents from when I was younger practically ambushed us with dinner. They know me ohhh to well! Mmmm it was good, so were the other 4 meals I had that evening!
It was always fun staying here when I was younger and today wasn't any different. They are pretty much like my adopted aunt and uncle!
An the fact they own a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) proved useful. I now have a few leads to chase up. Thanks Randy!
I just have to make it home tomorrow. The may be intersting as I've broken my spoke onn my wheel and the wheel is kind of like a bomerang! Ahhh but I'll worry bout that tomorrow!!
