Wow...
Early morning - Busy day!

We barely slept with what little shut-eye we had before getting up and taking the taxi to the Riga airport at 4:45am that morning...a big day ahead.
Things went beautifully smoothly and we arrived at our first destination for the day just before the clock ticked 7am: Warsaw, Poland. I had never given much thought to ever considering coming to this country - it was simply just a means to and end: a 6-hour stop-over that we had and decided to make the most of.
We were in for a pleasant surprise!

Far beyond our expectations, Old Town Warsaw took our breath away with the early morning glow of the sun highlighting the enchantment and beauty of the place. Many of the buildings, full of rich detail, colour and design were all joined together one after the other - and yet so individual in their charm and character. It was gorgeous.
As we wandered though the quaint streets, stirring up the bands of pigeons gathered about, to soak up the beauty of the sights, we passed several bride & grooms having their photos done...just adding to the romantic atmosphere this symphony of delight awakened.
The city walls were most impressive, and spectacular in both structure, composition and sheer size - and as Samuel reported: the most stunning he had seen in a long time!

With the clock ticking by and the crowds getting thicker by the hour, it was time to make tracks for our return to the airport: our few hours were drawing to a close. But even for just those few moments of wonder, the time was well worth the endeavor for the taste we received of another piece of Gods beautiful world.

Next stop: Prague!
