It's been an absolutely incredible week - and the perfect start to our trip with the opportunity to rest, relax, recoup ... and prolong the farewells.
It's taking a bit to get used to the idea we wont be back for a while.
This part of the trip was planned for a week-long family holiday in celebration of Dad Warnes 50th birthday - and what a great time it was!
The first two days were spent at the stunning Sofitel Resort & Spa on Denarua Island (bridged to the main land) - then 4 nights at the Reef House: a batch attached to resort facilities at Musket Cove on Malolo Lailai Island - and then back to live it up at Sofitel for the last night. We had great fun snorkeling (saw a shark & a turtle!!), scuba diving, sailing catamarans, wind surfing, swimming, riding bikes & scooters, visiting local villages and enjoying the Fijian people/culture, the sun, fun & family time together.
So this whole Koru Lounge experience is pure luxury!
We get upgraded to premium economy on the plane, enjoy priority check-in/ boarding, plus free food and drinks galore in a quiet cosy lounge where internet is free and service is laid on to the max while we wait for our flights.
Ahhh, pity it's just a temporary pass...
