Day 18-20. I took the train to Verona to meet my friend Tyler. We spent the next 2 1/2 days in this cute little town. It had been the setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. We saw the balcony that was supposedly his inspiration and the wall where you can write letters to your true love. There was not much to do here except chill and enjoy the scenery, once again. We pretty much saw everything the very first day there. It was a cute little town and would be a cute little romantic getaway for anyone. We rode bikes one day and tried to go to Lake Garda but failed as the bike trails seemed to disappear after about 10 minutes. Didnt get very far but got some exercise. My last Italian dinner was Carpaccio, thinly sliced raw beef and served with a cold vinaigrette made with olive oil and some lemon juice. It was really good and accompanied with some wine. On May 3 we took a bus to Milan and flew back to Paris. Only ten days left in Europe. Italy was great trip.
