Christmas day. It was so nice to see Chris again and meet Nancy. Zoey is so beautiful; the cutest baby ever! We got back to their apartment and soon after went to Nancy's mom's apartment and I got to meet some of her family. Everyone is very nice! After that we went to Chris's parents apartment and had Christmas dinner. I don't know the exact names, can't spell them anyway, but we had some kind of potato dumpling, bratwurst, goose, potato salad, cucumber salad, and red cabbage. It was sooooooo good and I ate as much as I possibly could. We spent the evening there and I got to call a bunch of family and friends. They have an international plan so it was free to call anyone back home. It was so nice to talk to everyone!
There is so much snow in Germany. There was atleast a foot of snow and it snowed everyday I was traveling until monday, December 27. It finally stopped for the rest of my trip. But at no point were the streets, parking lots or anything ever plowed. The roads were fine to drive on eventually and were plowed but that took forever. And only the highways were plowed. Not even the normal city streets were done.
Sunday, December 26. Everything is closed on Sundays so we just hung out at Chris and Nancy's apartment. In the evening we went to Nancy's mom's place again for a little bit then went to Chris's parents place for dinner. We got a huge pizza. It was pretty good! And rectangular! I called a few more people that night, which was nice. It was just a relaxing day.
Monday, December 27. Zoey went to Chris's parents place for the day and we got to go out shopping for the day and see some of the town. We rented a movie that night and watched Euro Trip!
Tuesday, December 28. All of us with Zoey and one of Nancy's sisters went to Nuremburg for the day. It was such a pretty town. I wish I had been there sooner so I could have seen the Christmas market!!! It was still a really nice day.
Wednesday, December 29. My last full day here. Chris, Nancy, and I went to a park that had a really pretty view. We walked around for a while in all the snow and took pictures. Afterwards we went to Aldi!! I had to go and see what it was like in Germany! haha. They're actually a German company. Who knew. For dinner, Nancy made sauerkraut, potatoes and leberkase. It was very yummy. We ended the night watching Inception.
December 30. My bus was supposed to pick me up at 9:30am from Nuremburg. It was coming from Russia and didnt get there until 2:30. It was the weirdest bus ever. With a lot of Russian people, and signs and everything on the bus were in Russian. Guys reading Russian newspapers. It was very interesting to look at. No one seemed to speak english either. Since the bus was late, I didnt get to Paris until 4:15am the next day. A 13 hour ride. I had to wait until 5:30am for the trains to start up again and got back to my apartment at 7am.
    Another trip over!!!
