After a long and tedious journey we arrived at magnetic island. We decided to opt for the more lively 'Base Hostel'. This was the main hostel on the island where most of the backpackers ended up. We all decided to hire mopeds the following day, very hungover we approached the guy in charge. he explained that the ped with the Ferrari sticker was surprisingly fast compared to the other four. I managed to bag the bike after i pulled the shortest straw. After a quick lap of the large flowerbed in front of the hostel we were away. Even though most of the island was out of bounds due to the dodgy roads there was still a 30km stretch of tarmacked road for us to play on. As u can probably imagine, we never tired of riding up and down the same road for 5 hours. As sad is may sound, the mopeds were the highlight of the island as there wasnt a tremendous amount to do there.
