So arrived in the Mt. Hood, Oregon area late Friday afternoon and the mountain was under clouds and yucky weather..I couldnt even see the summit to take a friggin pic! Whats weird is ten miles away from Mt. Hood the weather was sunny and nice. I was going to stay on or near the mountain and hike up some but decided to go down to the riverfront camping along the Columbia River. And I tell you what. The drive along I84 that boarders Washington State and Oregon is simply fantastic! Completely breathtaking and amazing along the entire two hour drive. So I setup camp in Viento State Park but just for the night. Moving a bit closer to the falls around Ainsworth State Park tomorrow. I took a few pics of the Columbia River shore just a few short steps from my camp. Enjoy.
