After waking up early n having a refreshing swim in the lake (which looked very mystical due to some fog blanketing the surface) we packed up n hopped on to our next destination.

We got the train to Luzern (on which a group of about 30 old ladies all got on together, sat around us, and proceeded to natter noisily- as in full blown sqwarking) its a slightly bigger town so we hopped on another short train to a place called Horw which we had seen advertised at our last campsite.

Another beautiful place there are mountains all around and the campsite is situated right next to a lake again and also a nature reserve. After setting up camp we headed round a boarded walkway through loads of reeds with birds etc n then down to the small 'beach' area by the lake. Woohoo another diving board and a platform to swim out to!

After a cool off and some lunch we hopped back to Luzern to check out the town a little better.

Wow, it is beautiful. Typically Swiss buildings n cobbled roads all lined up either side of the bright blue river with a stunning mountain backdrop. They had lovely wooden bridges over the river decorated with vivid flowers and paintings under the covered archway. So picturesque we were both suitably impressed!

Later on it was back at the tent for dinner, another culinary delight followed by a chocolate fondue (when in Rome...) and are now witnessing an awesome thunderstorm!! Big forked and sheet lightening with rumbling thunder!!
