Hey

Today we travelled from Hannover to Leipzig. We checked out of the Loccumer Hof in Hannover at 11am, after a hearty breakfast & headed to the station. We stopped off at Starbucks for a coffee & whilst we were there there was a grandmother, mother & twin babies at a table opposite us. They didn't do anything interesting to watch until they got up to go, at which point they got out the Wet Wipes & cleaned the windows where the babies had had their hands all over the glass & then wiped down the furniture so it was clean for the next customers. Amazing. Wish more parents did that back home!

We got to the station & caught the 12.36 train to Leipzig. Most of the seats had been reserved (it was a small train) so we sat on the floor again. The bonuses about sitting on the floor are: a) I feel like a back-packer, which is fun & b) it helps reduce the heat-swelling that my feet suffer from. The journey was gentle & uncomplicated, which is the way it should be. The only odd moment was when we pulled out of one train station the same way we went in. I presume we changed tracks, but it was a bit odd.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Garden Court (courtesy of mum's Holiday Inn Priority Card points!) which is over the road from the main station. We checked in & headed up to our room to discover we have been upgraded to a suite - bonus! So we are currently relaxing in our sitting room watching the Brazil v Australia match! So thanks mum, we've got a bit of luxury on Leipzig thanks to you!

Tomorrow is another free day, so we'll discover Leipzig on foot. Until then:

Come on England - We Believe!

Big love
