Jumped on a bus from Goteborg to Stockholm, took about 6.5 hours. Emilia (another of Shanes swedish skiing friends) met us at the station and took us back to her cute lil apartment on the tunnelbana.
Got a Stockholm card which allowed us to visit lots of museums and use unlimited public transport.
So we made the most of that, and saw heaps of cool stuff. Went for a big walk around Djurgarden - one of the big islands of the Archipelago. Managed to get away from the most of the tourists at a nice garden cafe on a hill. Heaps of trees and gardens in stockholm.

Went to the vasa museum - it has the unfortunate ship that sailed about a kilometre into its maiden voyage in the 1600s and sank in the stockholm harbour, where it was preserved by the polluted waters and then resurfaced and put in the museum - pretty cool.

THEN, we went to Skansen - the zoo type thing. We saw a MOOSE! and GRIZZLY BEARS, they were so COOL!! also saw a reindeer and a mummy lynx with lots of babies. This was my favourite part of stockholm!
Had dinner at an asian buffet, which was really yum, then met some of Emilias friends for drinks.

Next day went to the butterfly house, and to Fotographiska, which is a photography museum. had coffee in an awesome cafe at the top which had a nice view of the harbour. Emilia made us AMAZING pizzas for dinner while we watched the Euro cup final.

Wandered around Gamla Stan the next day, which was FULL of tourists. Lots of cool old buildings. Found a hippy shop with awesome clothes and restricted myself to one item.

I will miss Sweden!!
