The drive to Hanoi was about 4 hours from Ha long Bay. It was quite a nice and easy ride, just sad to leave the beautiful boat and Ha long Bay. I could have happiy stayed there for one more night.
Hanoi is filled with Motorbikes. If you stand in the middle of the road, they come at you at all directions and the most amazing thing is that they miss you! :) But it is strongly recommended for us not to run across the road and to slow down as they approach us! Which as Steve mentioned easrlier to me, it is against his instincts to slow down when bike is about to approach him! I agree, but then I have also lived in Iran and I know how it is like in Tehran and each time I had to cross the road, I had to pray for my life, close my eyes and let my dad, brother or friend take my hand! :) I always said drivers in these countries have to win an award for the most number of misses they have had!
Tonight we are going to see a water puppet show and listen to some Vietnamese music. This afternoon we have been for lunch at a very nice restaurant near the main lake here in Hanoi. I have to confess that we didn't have any Vietnamese lunch, instead we had the gold old Western Cheese Burger and Fries! There is only so much noodles and fried rice I can take in one week!
