Today we had a choice of going to a mud bath and the beach or to go diving and snorkling! I guess some of you may guess which one we went to! I mean Steve and I both know and agree that we already look beautiful and we don`t need to go to any mud baths! Yes we decided to go diving. It was the best choice I had made for myself and truely hope Steve agrees with me on that! (He says yes he does!)There were 4 of us that went on the boat. Steve, Sua, Theunis and myself. Only I went diving and the others went snorkling. The dive was great. This was my first dive outside of the UK and it is something totally different. I had difficulty equalizing my ear on the first dive so we took it very slowly. Then eventually we dived to 30 mts. It was great. I saw some fish and lots of star fish. My dive master tried to catch an octapus. Not a very big one, but he looked so cute and of course judging by the amount of ink he was releasing, I guess he was anxious. We then had lunch on the boat (very delicious, Steve had three plate full of food, so you can Imagine how good it was!) I then went for my second dive, which was a wreck dive. Unfortunately the wreck belonged to a ship which had sunk 8 years ago and the father and son had died. It was quite interesting. The depth on this dive was approximately 22 mts.
Steve told me that he watched us from the top while he was snorkling, and he could see us going deeper and deeper. He also saw the dive master attempting to sit on the toilet which once upon a time, belonged to the ship! :)
On the way back from the dive, the boat got stuck on the sand and we all had to move from one side of the boat to another. It was quite choppy. And yes someone was looking rather green! :( me! I took some more tablets and just sat on a corner of the boat and tried to look at the horizon. Eventually they got us out and the rest of the trip back to our hotel was much more bearable! I was very proud of myself for doing the dive. As I always said I couldn`t dive without Sven who was my Dive master, back in the UK. But I did it! And managed to get a 10 pound discount! :)
We made friends with the owner of the restaurant opposite our hotel. He was from Iran and had moved to Turkey when he was 1. He didn`t speak any Farsi but he knew some words. He was very friendly and one night invited us for coffee. We had a good laugh
