I thought I would take this opportunity and tell you a little bit about me and Steve and how we met. I have known Steve for almost 11 years, through my brother. They went to the same Uni and were house mates for a good 3 years. Steve and I have been in touch for the last 2 years. It was last year that Steve asked me if he could join me on this trip and I couldn't be any happier to have someone with me. Now whether we are going to remain friends by the end of this trip or have driven each other up the wall, remains a mystery to both of us! :-)

Less than one month to go! We have had all of our injections, about 20 each! We have both handed in our notices. Did our last bit of shopping on Saturday and hopefully no more spending money! well not until we actually start the holiday!

It is a very strange feeling, a mixture of anxiety and excitement! Not knowing what will happen! We have planned our route. That took us about a good 6 months, and I have to say it is still changing. Look forward to seeing all the places and also our friends.

We did a trial packing on Saturday and tried to fit everything we have into our bags. At one point Steve sat down in the living room, sorting out the Malaria tablets, trying to cut them into small enough pieces that would fit into lunch boxes, so it would be easier to carry them! He was surrounded by a mountain of tablets and cut boxes!? I did make sure he wasn't eating them all in one go! :-)
