I hear there is a mutiny on my hands becuase I went more than a week without blogging. I apologize for this. The majority of last week was very uneventful. I had no pictures to show and figured a blog without pictures is no good. The past few days, on the other hand, have been packed full of fun and adventure.
Monday morning one of my very good friends flew out to SLC, Kelly Bock. Many of you may not know Kelly, but I have known her since we were in middle school. The very first production of the Wizard of Oz she played Dorothy and I played her little dog, Toto. We also went to APU together... accidently. Our three days together began on a very exciting note we came to the apartment and slept for a few hours. She had flown in very early and I had worked that night so we were tired. We had lunch at one of the pie pizzaria which is a local favorite, drove around downtown, went to the mall and caught the movie defintely maybe. Which was just ok. After the movie I educated Kelly on the finer things by taking her to the Craker Barrell. She and I love chicken n dumplings.
Tuesday, we hit the slopes. Actually, Kelly hit them a lot more than I did, but both of us were very very very sore the next day. We had a blast. It was a perfect day, in the 60's, bright and sunny. That night we made sure to be back in time for American Idol. Here is my spin on things.... since I know you are all dying to know. No one in my opionion will touch David Archelletta, the local Utah boy. He is amazing and I think we should just let him perform an hour long concert each week for the rest of the season.
Wednesday the two of us wanted a little education so we took the Trax (the commuter train into town) to the Temple Square. We had the full tour of the assembly, tabernacle, and grounds. We listened to the giant pipe organ and were fully endoctrinated with the Mormon faith during the presentation. It was informative and I am sure in the spring it is a beautiful place. When things start to bloom I will go back and send you some pretty pictures. After we force fed the Book of Mormon we decided to drive out to Park City. Here is where the bulk of the 2002 Olympics were held. The Olympic park is still set up and viewable by the tourists. One event that is not included but I am certain should be is the Extreme Zipline. We both paid a nominal fee and had a great ride on the tallest zipline in the world. We raced the guys that were on the lines next to us down the hill and Kelly creamed them. Way to go, girl! We toured the museum and attempted to climb the bobsled hill but.... it was way steep and we were way to sore to make it even halfway there. Yeah, were a little pathetic. When we finally dragged our bodies back to the car we drove to the Park City ski resort and had lunch at a mexican restaruant there. On our way back into town Kelly spotted a Hogi Yogi and Nordstrom Rack. So we pulled the car over for ice cream and retail therapy to nurse our bodies back to health. We raced home just in time to catch American Idol that night. At this point Carly, Asiah, and Rameal I think are the best girls... I think. The only thing that I know for sure is that Amanda Overmyer has to go.
So, that was this week. I am glad that you all are liking the blogs. Thank you Kelly for coming to see me and giving me so many neat things to write about. Oh, and Penelope is fine just spining in circles. Nothing out of the ordinary. Thank you all for you support and show of concern for my baby girl. She is precious and obviously her life has touched so many people to have such an outpouring of love and support. Thank you.
ok... well that was everything I think catch you next time.

What a great time
Wow it looks like you and Kelly had a wonderful time while she was there with you. I am so glad she was able to come and play with you in Utah. I miss you and can't wait for you to come home. I'm pretty much in Agreement with you about the Girls and definitely about the boys. That kid has this thing sewn up already..put a fork in it because it's done.
Love,
Mom
