Things in Salt Lake continue to get better and better. For the past two Sundays I have attended Holladay Baptist Church. They have a singles group there of about 8 people. They have accepted me into the group and helped me feel very welcome there. I really like the church. They are in transition between pastors and the interim has been very good. Today was his last Sunday and it was neat to watch this church as an outsider go through this transition. Today, on his last Sunday as interim pastor, the new pastor came to hear him preach. He also prayed for him and his family as they continue their ministry. I thought it was tremendous that the baton was actually passed from one man of God to another in this way. I have never seen it done before. There was also a potluck today after the service. I baked brownies and they were delicious.
Work continues to get better. I am finally setting into the groove of the unit. It is crazy busy and does not seem to be letting up at

. I was thrilled to get my first paycheck last Friday. I have been so short on cash for so long that I breathed a huge sigh of relief and then did what every red blooded American girl does... went to the mall. Downtown there is a beautiful new outdoor mall called the gateway. It was like a choir of angels singing to me as I entered into the plaza the first time, and the rays of sunshine seemed to beam down from the heavens. Actually, it was just the 2002 olympic theme playing and it just felt bright becuase it was the only day without snowthat week. Anyways, I did not leave the mall without spending 200 dollars on jeans... but they were awesome. I would post pics but they are getting hemmed. I also went into this store I love called Anthropology and tried on all kinds of things I loved but still could not afford. Why is it the most expensive things fit you the best?
That night I met up with my friend Nate and some other travelers for bowling. It was fun. I did not take pics that night. I did not snowboard this week at all. It has snowed just about everyday. Today and yesterday the temperature climbed to a staggering 30 degrees. It was a welcomed change for me. I hope to go Monday or Tuesday.
Hmm what else did I do this week. I got my hair colored red again. Thank you April Cason for making sure I had my magic formula. I waxed my brows and lip... they had started taking over my face. I netflixed the planet earth DVD collection and snuggled up in a blanket next to a roaring fireplace almost every evening. I am a thrill a minute.
