Its amazing how life is. I never could have imagined this experience. Its like a dream, like another world being here, for the most part joyful, though it can be harsh. The challenges are many..
. The kids are quite amazing though, the way they all work together to take care of each other is really beautiful and inspiring. Its like a family and I feel blessed to be here, to learn what I need to and give what I can.
He who binds himself to a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies;
Lives in eternity´s sunrise.
My love to you all,
Hi everybody, I'm here now in Juchitan. I´m living in a home for kids and young adults with special neds, physical and mental disabilities. I arrived 2 weeks ago, after spending some more weeks in Mazunte. Where I am living is outside of a small town called Tehuantepec that is outside of a bigger town called Juchitan. The house is away from everything, down a long dirt road lined with coconut trees. I spend most of my time helping to cook the meals, cleaning up, and teaching writing, reading, drawing etc. We also walk to the river to swim, collect limes and coconuts, play basketball, and walk to the kindergarten to take Andrea, the littlest member of the family, to school.
