This is a strange town, we had no plans to stay there any longer than one night on our route through the north of the country, but were flexible to the idea that if Melo turned out to be an undiscovered gem we could spend more time there. Turns out you only need about 2 hours to really īdoī Melo, so our one day was well over budget.
There just isnīt anything to do there as far as we could see, and we walked around the centre a few times just to confirm our initial thoughts as we were so surprised by them! We ate in the same place as we couldnīt find anywhere else that offered anything different, and all of this accompanied by public announcements/propaganda being blared from speakers all over town!
