Aloha Maui! We left Oahu in the morning and got to our hotel in Maui. Our resort is beautiful and luxurious. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony with a full view of the ocean, as well as a complimentary dessert and wine at their resort restaurant called Ko. The room was fantastic with a marble bathroom almost big enough to be a whole hotel room by itself. Being exhausted from the pace of Oahu, we took some time to relax and then had a nice early dinner at Ko which included a white butterfish called Walu and some tempura lobster, along with purple sweet potatoes with coconut milk and edamamus (think hummus but with edamame paste). It was delicious and we got to watch the sunset from our table outside. We then took a stroll on the beach with wine in hand, followed by a quick dip in the pool and hot tub. The hotel pool has a beautiful mosaic at the bottom. We sat out and watched the stars before we fell asleep. This is paradise!
