The beautiful beach at Noarlunga was hiding a secret – it's waters were f$%^ing freezing! We must have lasted 10 minutes in there: the Indian Ocean it is not at this time of year. After a dip we sat in a slightly clinical and certainly austere restaurant for coffee and cake. Fair play though: they did let us in wearing sand covered shorts and flip flops.
