We saw the decadent side of the political atmosphere in Phnom Penh today: the beautiful palace and Silver Pagoda housed riches that were beyond western comprehension and it was also reflected in the government buildings we saw. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to filter down too much and Cambodia has also shown us just how poor people can be.
