lakeview tourist rest guesthouse

Arriving in Anuradhapura after a pretty hot and sticky four hour bus journey, we went straight to a local guesthouse, curiously named Lakeview (there isn't a view).

We hired bikes and set off to have a quick look around and get some lunch. On the way out it was scorching and made Rich complain bitterly about his pedal, which was close to falling off, the saddle being so low he was bumping his chin with his knees and the tyres being as soft as warm blancmange. On the way back the skies opened and rain drops the size of saucers came down, making it an interesting ride back!
