The boat trip back to Limon was fast and turned out to be quite the adventure.  Zooming through the various rivers having near run ins with birds as they tried to take off as fast as possible to get out of our way and spotting lots of caymans and crocs on the river banks around until we ran aground!!!

At first I thought hat it was a joke a Willis had a strange sense of humor that I didn't really get, but I quickly got that it wasn´t a joke when he stepped out of the boat and the water was only at the hight of his calfs.  He needed help so enlisted the only other guy on our boat whose response in a little tiny voice was "why me?".  With the 2 of them pushing we weren´t making much progress what so ever so he asked for some more volunteers.  Understandably everybody was looking down at there feet and were glued to there seats.  Hoisting up my skirt I stepped out in my bear feet onto the sandy squelchy bottom with one other girl.

The boat started to move and the river got a bit deeper but not enough to motor through so the wading went on until finally Willis said we could hop back on board.  And thank goodness as no sooner had we clambered back on board a small Cayman of maybe only a foot long swam past, shortly followed by what could have been his mother of 2 meters long!!!!!

Arriving back in limon having passed the man who should have been dredging the river fast asleep on his boat we jumped into a taxi to take us to Cahuita via the sloth sanctuary.
