Got up in the middle of the night, to get the chicken bus at 5am.  This time the bus was hilarious.  It was obviously the first one of the day and all the locals were going into town for work.  When the bus pulled up it was full.  We still managed to fit all 15 of us leaving the hostel on.   Then we proceded to pick more people up every 5 minutes to the point were the inside was completely rammed and then was about another 15 people sat on the roof.  What made it so funny was that every time we came to a slight hill everyone had to get off and run up the hill so the bus could get up, and then jump back on before it sped off again.  Interesting when most of them are carrying maschettes.
After a very long hot journey, arrived in Flores.  Its a nice little town and the hostel is really cool, called Los Amigos, and again ran into Rhedan and Nissa.  Spent the evening hanging out with them.  They had to decided to dot the sunrise tour up to the Tikal ruins, a big Myan town.  I said noway, and went off at the slightly more reasonable hour of 8.  Was good to see, but to be honest it got so hot, and all the temples are 20 minutes walk from each other, so I only saw a small bit of it and gave up and sat in the shade before heading back to the hostel.  And then spent the rest of the day just lazing around in a hammock!
