Spent another morning on the chicken buses over to this amazing place called Semuc Chapey.  It is really isolated and so beautiful.  Got a bed one of the only 2 hostels there called Las Marias, right on the river.  So I spent the afternoon hanging out by the river and swimming and jumping in from the rope swing.  In the evening everyone from the hostel all had dinner together and had a few drinks before early nights, the electricity goes off at 10.
The next day I went on a tour in the morning to the caves.  They are amazing,  There are some caves in the nearby town, called Lanquin, where you just walk through them.  But these caves you are literally swimming through them with nothing but a candle in your hand, and climbing through tiny gaps!  There were a few points when I asked myself why the hell I was doing it.  But the rocks and stuff are amazing, you can actually play tunes on the wierd shpaed stalactites that actually look like an organ.  When we finally emerged from the darkness we inner tubed on the river back to the hostel, that was a lot more fun!
After taking a relaxed lunch by the river I went of up to the main reason people go to Semuc Champey.  The most beautiful natural pools with amazing clear water up in the hills.  They are trully stunning and so refreshing.  The photos will not even vaguely show how nice it is!  Spent a good few hours lolling about in the water before it tipped it down again, so headed back to the hostel.  By the time I got back the sun was out again, so we all spent the afternoon on the rope swing, so much fun.
