Arrived in Argentina and made out way to a hostel we thought we had booked, but they had no record of it so they phoned around for us and we got another one called Hostel la Rocca.  But to be honest by the time we left we had both decided that it was rubbish hostel and very unfriendly. But we just dumped our bags and went to a bar around the corner, and couldnt believe how cheap it was. We had 2 bottles of really nice wine, so glad to finally have some wine after the constant beer in brazil, and a giant pizza and it only cost us around 4 pounds each!
Next day we just went for a wonder down Florida, like the main shopping road.  In the evening we went to dinner and I got my first sample of Argentinas acclaimed ┤Ębest steak in the world┤ and I have to say it was bloody good, and agin so cheap.  Bottle of wine and Steak for 5 pounds.
Next day went to Palermo to go to the parks and wanted to go on the pedalos, but they were closed.
We then went to meet Gaston, the guy we met in Florianapolis, for what we thought was a quick after work drink before meeting later to go to a club called Opera bay, supposedly designed to look like the Sydney Opera house.  But it turns out that on a Wednesday it is a night for workers who literally fo straight from work to a full on club! They email the day before and say how many people from their company will be going and then are allowed in for free, so we got in free. Was a really cool place, like being in some top London nightclub but very weird to go there so early.
Thursday morning I went of to book myself in for a one week intensive spanish course, starting on Monday.  So hopefully I will be able to understand a bit better by the end!  At lunch we went of to find a place that a guy on the bus from the airport had told us about.  Its basically in the grounds of a convent, and at luch time there are 2 restaurants in it which people working go to for luch.  You have the dish of the day, which we got which was a massive plate of lovely chicken in a sauce and loads of mash potato for 8 pesos, which is about 1.20 pounds.  And we shared a bottle of wine which was also 8 pesos!  Was brilliant because it was so filling so we didnt need to eat for the rest of the day.  Would never have known about it if the guy hadnt told us aswell.
After that we headed of in the torrential rain to the boat terminal and booked our tickets to go to Uraguay the next day.
Thursday evening we went to a Tango show.  It was amazing, I will try and put the videos on later.
So on Friday we headed of to Uraguay for a few days, I will be there untill Sunday, as I have to be back in BA for my course on Moday, and Gemma is going to stay there for a few more days before going back to BA on Wednesday ready to celebrate her birthday there on Thursday.
