it was such a treat to arrive in Rosario to the amazing hospitality of Matias` cousin Fabi and her daughter Ana Paula who welcomed us into their home for a week full of beautiful home cooked meals, sleepins and siestas, lots and lots of mate drinking. highlights include a crazy night out on the town where the girls dressed us all up in their clothes (read incredibly tight pants and high heals- definately a change from our travellers rags-hilarious); visiting matias aunties house for the best empanadas ever... and for a home cooked asado (traditional argentinian BBQ)- compliments to german (another of mati`s cousins)who cooked it; watching a local soccer match where german and toto (friend of mati`s fam) recruited matias to play as goali, learning to salsa dance with german, adrian (another cousin), toto and their crazy friend diago, touring the sights of Rosario... but most of all many many laughs... often at the expense of us and our bad-non existant spanish!!! what a fabulous introduction to argentina!!!
