Sooooo nice to be warm again.

We landed in Santorini just before lunch, took about 15 mins to get to our hotel from the airport. We are staying in a town called Kamari on the eastern side of the island.
Yannis the owner of the hotel gave us an ouzo (loving santorini already)  and a quick intro to Santorini then off to our rooms.  The hotel is typical Greek island, painted in blues pinks whites and yellows, shutters on the windows and stone feature walls,  lots of geraniums and bourganvilleas in blue and terracotta pots.
After dropping of the bags we went for a walk down to the beach and found a taverna with views across the black sand and pebbles to the beach for lunch.  Plates of the best Souvlaki and Gyros with Mythos to wash it down and some Vinsanto wine( i think it tastes even better in Santorini Dud).
Its very quite here at the moment, we have arrived just before the main tourist season starts and everyone painting and preparing getting ready for the season.

We have had another quite and relaxing day today starting off with another walk and then relaxing by the pool  its now 9.00 and I am feeling very relaxed after another ouzo, ahhhh Santorini, loving it.   Tomorrow we might hire a car and have a look at the other side of the island.
Bye for now

Hi all, just thought you might like to know jessica watson got in this afternoon about 3 hours ago (3pm). She was about 3 hours late. Very wobbly when she got off boat. Around 38 000 people watching her from the opera house. We drove past yesterday and saw the cars in your driveway, no left hand drive for me thanks haha. kmart was cancelled so i have to re-apply again, fingers crossed! hope all is well.

Glad the View club party went well. 40 was a good turn out. lets hope that the new venue might encourage more members. Having more of the beautiful fresh food than the ouzo. It was lovely catching up with our family in England. I am glad that you are enjoying our blog. love Sylvia and Ken.

Hi Rachael,
Jessica Watson was on the news over here, we saw the her arriving into Sydney. Amazing how many people were there. Its a shame she wont go into the record books. Have a drive past our place next week Tony,s cars are being delivered sometime towards the end of the week. What is going on with Kmart, why do you have to reapply, sounds very unorganised.
Hope every one is well and all is good. Are you getting our photos. Sarah has been having a great time playing with her english cousins. She loved Emma and was her shadow for the whole time we were there.
say hello to everyone and give our love
love Nandad Nan U.Tony A.Cheryle and Sarahxxxxx

Its a shame shes not getting the record but shes made about 3 million dollars in the past 3 days so if thats all it takes to be a millionaire, I'll see you all in 7 months haha. Seeing all your pictures, it looks really nice in greece, the water looks really blue. Roads are a bit narrow though. The big family picture in England was very nice, looked like you had a good time. Just saw on the news Gatwick and Heathrow are closed lets hope it doesnt interfer with all the others meeting you. Kmart was an absolute joke, i turned up with one other girl for induction and the manager told us it had been cancelled because no one else had turned up so our only option was to re-apply online, not very happy with them at the moment. We will go round over the weekend and have a look at the cars, i think it was a red one we saw yesterday. alrighty, talk soon, love us xxx
