We initially didn't plan on coming to Madrid at all. We were supposed to go to Vallencia for the Festival but we decided to skip the big party due to accommodation and hospitality hassles. Actually, the truth we were getting pretty tired from all the walking and we really wouldn't have been able to keep up with the party animals. Actually, I don't think I would have been able to do it anyway.J .
So now you know why Madrid ended up being a relatively uneventful place for us. It's known for it's vibrant night life but we opted for a more relaxing and quiet visit. W e ofcourse hit he major sites and museums but we also did some more "normal" activities like going to out to different restaurants (Thai food - nice change in flavours), going out for a movie and taking naps at the park. Ahhh...so nice.
Sakura's Highlights:
- Prado museum - but we needed more time!
- Taking ciestas at El Retiro park - with all the other Spaniards
Christophe's Highlights:
- Watching the cat balancing act at the Eboli Café
- Napping in the park
Next stop: Portugal
