industrial city into a modern art gallery.
It has both the character of old Europe, as well as the energy of a
youthful growing city. Seeing the
Guggenheim was an awesome experience and we spent basically the whole day in
the museum. We were fortunate to be able
to see Takashi Murakami's temporary exhibition.
He's kind of weird and out there, but it was really entertaining. It was also interesting to see the differing
mediums being used in Modern Art today.
Definitely different from the stuff we say in the Museum D'Orsay in Paris!
Sakura's Highlights
- Guggenheim was an amazing building. Above and beyond what I expected
- Murakami's exhibition (anime artwork) took me back to my
childhood

- Realizing that it was Murakami's flowers on the Louis Vuitton
bags
- Frank Gehry's architecture
