Getting out of leon was a horrible experience waiting around in leon bus station which is choatic and there is nowhere to hide and find yourself a quite corner.  We arrived in manague to change busses to granada but were dropped on the wrong side of town so ended up having to take a long taxi ride to the correct bus station.  A bit of reading and we would have worked out we needed to got to the UNC to change but it wasnīt to be.

Anyhow we arrived in swealting Masaya after being dropped off on the main road and not at the bus station but eventually we found a nice hotel.

We are both feeling much better now so we are up for getting seriously active and doing some stuff.  First days we off to lake apoyo a crater lake.  Its a quick 30 minutes out of town via the worst bus station in the world think more dirty dusty car park combined with a rubbish tip.

Then its a nice 2km stroll down hill to the lake.  At the bottom you have the option of left or right after picking right and walking for 1.5 km we only find a posh hotel for a drink so its back to junction to try left.  Which is a much better option as we find two lakeside restaraunts and a good place for a swim which was what we were looking for all along.   Signage people please....

We to lazy to walk uphill so grab a cab and head back to masaya.  Tonight is thursday night entertainment at the famous masaya craft market so we heading there. Its quite and amusing night from the waiter who is very scarely and canīt understand a word we say even though we asking for a small beer. to the cruise ship style caberet and traditional dancing.  Becca has set her heart on a hamac so we start to ask around for those.

Off to bed as tommorrow we are up earlyish to go up volcano masaya, Its probably another steaming whole but we need to do some excersise to get the blood pumping again.

After grabing the bus we walk the 1.5 km to the visitor centre which is inundated with school kids.  We start to walk uphill which is about 1.5 hours but becca is rescued from here torture by the park ranger who offers to give us a lift to the top.  I however feel like a didnīt achieve the walk so am resolved to walk all the way down on my own as becca takes the lift. its sweaty but only takes an hour.

Tommorrow were off to granada the colonial gem.
