Finally the second time I went to Rome i was able to visit the Vatican. I was so happy, plus i went during the winter so there was no long lines, no stupid tourist, and my pictures came out nicely. I was really hoping to get a peek from the Pope but I think that was asking for to much.
Being from America, I dont get to see so many great cathedrals, such of France, Italy or anyother European country. So I may add that the Vatican was the first cathedral I've ever seen. From the very moment I stepped through the colossal doors of the Vatican I was in aw.As if I were standing in front of God at judgement day. I was belittled by the sheer size of the building. I was astonished by the glistening marbel floor and the ornaments and trimmings on the walls (which are not the amoung the main attractions. I just want to point out that everything in this Holy Place was designed by masters of their art.)

The Vatican was one of my favorite places in Italy. I was lucky enough to see the pope speak which was pretty amazing. I can't wait until you come back here and you can tell us about all the things you got to see and exprience. I am so glad you got to live in Italy. You are such a strong person to be away from home for that long. I love you and I miss you. See you in a few months.
