We are now in Hawaii on the island of Oahu at the Makaha Valley Plantation. We arrived here after a 12-hour flight to L.A then an 8-hour flight to Honolulu. So far, Hawaii has been great.  My grandma and my great uncle are here with us for two weeks.  Next week my other grandparents are coming here for two weeks.

We have visited the Dole plantation, went to Pearl Harbor, and we have visited the beach almost every day.  I thought that Pearl Harbor was interesting because they showed a very informative video about how and why the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.   The downside to that day was that we had to take a bus there that took two hours each way.  We have been going to Makaha Beach Park where the beach is famous for its almost eight meter waves. 

Two of the first places we visited here was Wal-Mart and the library.  After two flights (20 hours in total), Wal-Mart was our first stop to get everything that we have been missing over the past 9 months.  The next day we all went down to town got a library card and took out 40 books.
