Throughout the night the winds picked up and the seas rose from 6 to 20 foot swells. The ship was pitching and rolling all night and most of the day. It's finally starting to calm down a bit, but still is tossing around. The captain has told us that he had expected the low pressure system to pass through quite rapidly, as they usually do, but this one seemed to stall over our position and give us these rough seas. A lot of people are in bed, nursing their seasickness. Better there than on deck. This will be a real test of the welding and patch placed on our bow.
