Just a quick update, as I try to post an entry for every location I stay the night.  El Chaltén was a nice place with the feel of a small, western town.  The hiking around the region includes magnificent ascents and views of Fitz Roy (3441m).  Unfortunately, the Patagonia weather is still in full effect and I never once got a glimpse of the famous peaks.

The bus rides continue...I'm off on a TWO DAY bus fest north along the infamous Route 40 to get to the Lake District tomorrow.  About 90% should be dirt / gravel roads.  I sometimes forget just how large Argentina is...it's roughly the same size as India!
