The olds had a bit of a rough sleep as the beds are hard as! They managed to organize about 50 duvets as padding for the next night. Our breakfast was included and was terrible!
Hired Motor Bikes today! Dad drove him and Mum, it was funny racing each other. They struggled up some of the hills on there shitty motorbike they had to Fred Flintstone it. Haha :)
We went up the hill to the Fort Cannon first to see nice views out over all of the Island and its where they hid out in the War too. They had some massive cannons that could fire on approaching ships.
Next we went to the Hospital Cave which was a huge Cave system that they made into a living area and a Hospital where the VC leaders hid out during the War. The cave had three floors, an Operating room and a swimming pool so they could keep fit and even a cinema. Unfortunately at the time we were going through we were joined by a large German family with 3 small kids who were really loud so the experience was a little disappointing.
Then we traveled to the Cat Ba National Park which was just down the road from the Cave. It was really badly sign posted when we got in and there was no map or anything to tell us where the walking tracks were or where they went. It was disappointing but we new there was a view point at the top of the hill that we climbed up to. The olds really enjoyed the climb haha. It was okay and of corse the tower was closed! haha.
Later we had a drive round the town and a few beaches that were a few bays over. They were nice but it wasn't hot enough to swim though many people were.
Had a chill out and dinner at a local place. Mum and Dad had another massage tonight too!! We just chilled and had a drink.
