So before arriving in Athens, I had heard that it was not a very nice place. I heard that it was very dirty and run down, but this was not the case. I don't know if it was maybe the part of town we were in (just below the Akropolis) or because of the massive amounts of money that were pumped into the city for the Olympics but I found Athens to be very clean and quite nice. We picked up Tyler and Monte from the airport on Friday night but we were beat after about 30 hours of traveling so that night was an early one. The next day we did the basics, we climbed to the top of the Akropolis and it was funny because they had some sort of lame security patrol walking around and all they had were whistles and would very rarely say a word. So, every time we would try to get a good picture by standing on a seat or a small wall, we would hear about 5 whistles coming from all directions, it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
