Although Marseilles turned out to be the dirtiest city that we have seen so far, it had a certain charm and beauty to it. It reminded me of what a dirty New York might look like because of its diversity and size. Once we checked in we knew that their was one thing that we really wanted to do during our stay in Marseilles and that was to visit the chateau D'if which was the prison that was one of the main settings in Alexandre Dumas' The Counte of Monte Cristo. It turned out being a really cool place and Eric and I ended up getting our own tour, with just us and the tour guide. That night we took it easy, I wasn't that hungry and Eric wanted to try the famous Marseilles dish, boulibaisse which is a fish soup. It sounded good but like I said I wasn't too hungry and it was expensive, besides that had really good pizza around town for one Euro.
