Well we arrived in Bordeaux this morning at about 1pm after spending three of the best days in Biarritz, France. We loved Biarritz, but we needed to get out of there before out 3 days quickly turned into a week or longer. It's definitely a place that I would consider returning to one day with my family or just a couple of friends.

We weren't really sure what to expect upon arrival to Bordeaux because we had heard a couple of people in the past few days say that its not worth a visit and that we should just skip in altogether and continue on Eastward. But after some thought, we remembered some people that we had hung out with that had said that they hated Paris and we absolutely loved it so we figured we ought to just give it a try and decide for ourselves whether or not it was with a visit. So far, I would say that it's definitely worth a day if not two. I can not for the life of me think of any reason to dislike a city such as Bordeaux. Sure, it's not exactly packed with monuments or museums or excited and interesting activities but it does have plenty of outdoor cafes, cobblestone alleyways with little shops and bakeries everywhere and tons of great architecture. If you don't like this place, you might as well get a flight back to where ever you came from because Europe is not for you.

Today in Bordeaux has really just been another relatively relaxing day. Our goals were just to walk around as much of the city center as we could and just take in the sights. I really like days like today where we don't go to the tourist information office because we know that this city doesn't really have many major attractions and we just walk around, get somewhat lost and just see what we see.

Today was also a really cheap day because on our way out of Biarritz, we ran across a market and bought a bunch of sandwich supplies for our 2 hour train ride to Bordeaux. I also bought some hair get and some hair dye (yes, I dyed my hair, but you will have to wait and see what color).

Tomorrow we are headed to Carcassonn which is a small midi evil city that is still encircled by a town wall. We have not been to many small cities thus far through our trip so I am excited to see what it has to offer.
