We left Dubrovnik , Croatia 10am for a 3 hour bus ride south to Budva Montenegro. The drive was the best part. We were atop beautiful mountains close to the sea. The most beautiful part was the drive right next to the bay of Kotor. I wanted to jump right in the clear blue water, even if it's realllllly cold. There are boats from all over the world to visit this place. We arrived in Budva to old women renting their homes to tourists like us. We lucked out with an old womans home near the bus station and a 10 minute walk to the old town and the sea. The apt we stayed in was an apt! Brand new with a balcony with a view of the mountains and the sea. It was only 10€ per night and one of the nicest cleanest places we have stayed. It makes me sad we only stay one night. But I know one day I must return to Budva and Montenegro. We walked around the city, found a restaurant with cheap food, sandwiches for 2€ and a great one at that. We bought some fruit from the stand and then headed to old town. The old town is similiar to Dubrovnik fortress but smaller and not as grandly built but still very pleasant and in a way more enjoyable due to it feeling less touristy. We had declined a walk around the fortress walls in Dubrovnik due to wanting to say money for the next two months and to our luck it was free in Budva. :-) We then bought postcards for the family and a slushie and sat on a park bench to fill them out. We did a good deal of walking but headed off to sleep for our journeys north back to Croatia to Ivanas aunts house.
