This morning we all woke up just before 8am, had breakfast and left for the coast around 9am.  The journey lasted about 4 hours and we arrived in Dramalj/Crikvenica around 1pm.
The first half of the journey was great and the freeway was awesome.  However, there was quite a big downpour in the last part of our journey and 14 degrees.  We thought for a second that we'll have a crap day but the afternoon turned out to be awesome!
The accommodation we got is better than we ever expected.  It was booked through a friend and we didn't know what to expect (it's privately owned house, renovated for summer renting).  The rooms have big beds and we have the whole top floor (2 rooms - one for us and one for Roxy's parents).  Every room has its own designated bathroom and there is a kitchen available if required.  To top it all off - we have a view of the Adriatic Sea and the Island Krk (see photos).
All this for €15 (~$23) per person per day!!!
After unpacking our stuff we went for a walk alongside the beach.  The views were great.
In the late afternoon we went to Crikvenica city center where we checked out the markets and the esplanade.
The other thing we found out was that Internet here is free!!!  Yes, finally some civilization!  To make things even easier, they have free wireless networks.  So you can expect regular updates now of our whereabouts.  From what I saw today, I feel that we will be uploading quite a few photos over the next week.
The area where we are staying is very nice - better than I thought it would be.  There are many tourists.  I have seen cars from Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Austria, Sweden, Italy, etc.
We are now staying on our balcony, enjoying the warm evening and having a great view.
So until next time bye ...
