Last night Mattias decided not to go to sleep until 11pm.  We were all totally stuffed by the time we fell asleep and to my surprise we all woke up around 11am the next day.  I don’t think I have ever slept in so much on my life!
Anyway, when we woke up and got ready we decided to go to the Brooklyn Tabernacle where they had a special Christmas musical program.  The Brooklyn Tabernacle doesn’t look like much from the outside (just a normal building) but inside is a massive auditorium.  I was limited on the photos I was able to take so I don’t know if you can actually get the sense on how big it actually was.
The musical program was nice and when it was finished Roxy wanted to go to the Junior’s Restaurant where they apparently have the best cheesecake in NY.  Roxy said the cake was nice but nothing extraordinary.
For dinner time we went to the famous Grimaldi’s Pizza close to the Brooklyn bridge.  Now this is apparently so famous that people line up for hours to actually get in.  There were people with limousines waiting outside as well!  I didn’t believe it until I saw it!  We actually waited for about an hour in freezing cold to get in - CRAZY!  We were close to just letting it go - but in the end we persisted.  The verdict - the pizza was nice but is it worth waiting for hour(s) in cold - probably not.
We then decided to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan.  It was cold!  In the end we managed.  The photos are not great as I had no tripod with me but some of the views were pretty spectacular.
That was it for today.  Tomorrow we are off to Washington D.C.
