Where I stayed
After an early start today we made it to the airport by 6:15am. I reckon we should have slept in as the plane was running late anyway... :-) The good thing is that the delay did not impact our connecting flight in Mexico City. Mattias was a bit of a pain during the flights but he settled down towards the end.
We arrived in Los Angeles around 1:30pm. First thing we did was to pickup our hire car. My sister and her family met us at the car hire place (their stop over on their way to Europe). The plan was to visit Hollywood together instead of them waiting at the airport for 6-7 hours.
They tried to screw us up again at the car hire place (a different company to the first one) but after holding firm all was good. To top it off, we hired a full sized car and because they didn’t have one they gave us a Dodge Journey (Toyota Kluger style car). The car was a 7 seater and we all managed to fit in nicely. ;-)
Trip to Hollywood took only about 20 minutes.
We went on walk of fame and saw some of the Australian stars such as Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. We went past Kodak Theatre, Chinese Theatre, and similar. We also had a glimpse of the Hollywood sign. The place was pretty packed.
After a couple of hours it was time to take my sister and the family back to the airport, we said our good byes and they went on their way to Europe.
We went straight to our hotel to get some rest after a very busy day.
