On Friday (our first full day in Villahermosa) we had our initial appointments for the dental work we wanted done.  Roxy especially was having a lot of things done and the dentist was performing a lot of surgical work on her(thanks Elma for organising it).  She was in a bit of pain.
Yesterday we went to church and was not as hot due to Friday evening rain.  So it made it a pleasant relaxing Saturday.
Today my brother-in-law offered to take us to Yumka, a wildlife park here in Villahermosa.  We went with his family but it couldn’t have been a worse day to go outdoors today.  It’s so hot, very hot, scorching hot, unbearably hot!!!  Did I say that it was hot today??? :-)  You guys can imagine if I was almost passing out today (still considering myself a Brisbaneite) then it was really bad.
But I have to say the wildlife park was worth visiting.  It was basically like a safari - Mexican style.  We saw all sorts of animals like elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, antelopes, zebras, buffalos, exotic birds, etc and I almost felt I was in Africa.  We even managed to take a photo with a snake but Mattias wasn’t very keen on the snake (as you can see from the photos).
After sweating half of our body fluids and drinking about 4 liters of water we went home, had lunch and retreated to our air-conditioned room.  Mattias only managed to sleep for about an hour today (due to the heat) but he wasn’t keen to have his afternoon nap.  Let’s hope he will go early to sleep tonight and be ready for for a new day tomorrow.
Tomorrow Roxy continues her dental work which will occupy her during this coming week.  I got mine started and will be finished on Thursday.
